About

Infrastructure first. Everything else follows.

I've spent my career making sure the systems people depend on stay up, and rebuilding them when they don't.

I started in healthcare IT, where downtime isn't an inconvenience, it stops clinics from treating patients. That environment taught me to design for reliability first: segmented networks, hardened firewalls, tested backups, and documentation someone else can actually follow.

At Taj Medical Center I owned the full stack: five VLANs connecting PACS, NAS, lab machines, Avaya telephony and every endpoint in the building. When the facility hit a vendor lock-in crisis during an HMS migration, I extracted the proprietary database myself, restructured the data, and handed a clean dataset to the incoming team on time, at no extra cost.

Now I build the other side of it: cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP, workflow automation, and custom applications that remove the manual work teams shouldn't be doing. Same instinct, newer tools.

Capabilities

What I actually run.

Not a list of things I've read about. These are systems I've built, broken, fixed and kept alive in production.

Networks & Infrastructure

VLAN design, firewall segmentation, routing & switching, and the physical layer underneath it all.

Cloud & Servers

Provisioning and hardening Linux and Windows servers on AWS and Google Cloud, with backups that restore.

Directory & Identity

Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP: the plumbing that decides who gets to touch what.

Automation

Workflow automation with n8n and scripting, connecting systems so people stop doing the same task twice.

Applications & Web

Custom internal tools, offline-first apps, and client-facing sites built to be found and to hold up.

IT Operations

Asset lifecycle, helpdesk, preventive maintenance, vendor coordination and documentation that survives handover.

Where I've been on call.

IT Consultant, Independent

Apr 2026 – Present
Freelance · Bahrain
  • Designed and deployed cloud infrastructure from scratch for clients: FreePBX VoIP telephony and n8n automation on AWS, Ubuntu Linux servers on Google Cloud.
  • Built an offline-first invoicing application with 10+ modules and built-in security controls.
  • Delivered automated workflows that eliminated repetitive manual tasks across client operations.
  • Shipped client-facing websites with SEO/GEO optimisation plus supporting design and video assets.

IT Administrator & Designer

Feb 2022 – Apr 2026
Taj Medical Center · Budaiya, Bahrain
  • Architected and ran the facility's infrastructure: 5 VLANs with firewall segmentation connecting PACS, NAS, lab machines, Avaya VoIP, PCs and printers.
  • Managed 100+ endpoints and servers with disruptions limited to rare external ISP or power events.
  • Led resolution of a vendor lock-in and data-continuity crisis during HMS migration: extracted a proprietary EMR database, restructured it into a usable reference application, and handed a clean dataset to the incoming team on schedule at no added cost.
  • Owned firewall, NAS security privileges, website, domain and email infrastructure end to end.
  • Deep working knowledge of clinical workflows and HMS/EMR operational flow, configuring products, services and packages in the system and aligning IT to how clinicians actually work.
  • Doubled as the in-house creative: graphic design for Instagram and social campaigns, official and hardcopy documents, plus videography, photo shoots and editing for facility marketing.

IT Administrator Assistant

Sep 2019 – Jan 2022
Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Center · Manama, Bahrain
  • Administered Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, system policies and Group Policy across the facility.
  • Ran helpdesk support via ticketing tool, resolving issues on-site and remotely.
  • Supported a full ERP implementation: configuration, testing, and training every department.
  • Built an automated COVID-19 report submission and download flow during peak testing demand, cutting manual workload and speeding up result processing when volume was at its highest.
  • Produced the IT asset register, ticket reviews and preventive maintenance checklists.

EMR data rescue

Crisis recovery · Healthcare

A clinic faced losing its patient history to a proprietary HMS vendor. I retrieved the locked database backup, extracted and restructured the records into a readable format, and stood them up in a custom reference app so clinicians kept access, then delivered a clean dataset to the new implementation team.

Cloud VoIP & automation stack

Infrastructure · AWS + GCP

Built client telephony and automation from bare servers: FreePBX for business VoIP and n8n for workflow automation, hosted on AWS, with Ubuntu Linux server provisioning on Google Cloud. Connected the apps clients already used and cut out the manual steps between them.

Offline-first invoicing app

Application · 10+ modules

A full invoicing system that keeps working when the connection doesn't. Ten-plus modules covering the billing workflow end to end, with security controls built in rather than bolted on afterwards.

Clinical network buildout

Network design · 5 VLANs

Segmented a medical facility's entire network into five VLANs behind a firewall, isolating PACS imaging, NAS storage, lab machines, Avaya telephony and general endpoints so a fault in one never took down the rest.
